Tanganica ads show two kinds of images, and each one is changed in a different place.
1. The product photo
This is the image shown in Google Shopping, in the product part of Performance Max and in all ads on Meta. Tanganica takes it from your product feed, from the image_link field. It cannot be changed for an individual product in the Tanganica app, and for Meta ads the feed is the only source of images (in the app you only add the text of the Meta ad).
How to get a different photo into the ad:
Change the main product image in your e-shop. It flows into the feed automatically and reaches us within 24 hours.
Some e-shop platforms let you send a different image to the feed than the main photo on the website. You will find the procedure in your platform's help.
If you use a feed tool (for example Mergado), you can overwrite the
image_linkvalue for selected products there. You set this up yourself. Not sure which way is easiest for your platform? Write to your account manager.
What does not work: downloading the feed, editing it by hand and "uploading it back". Tanganica reads the feed from the address entered in Settings, so a manually edited file would be overwritten at the next refresh.
2. Images in Performance Max campaign assets
These are the logos and images you uploaded when setting up a Google Performance Max campaign. You change them directly in the Tanganica app: open Campaigns, choose the campaign and edit the images and logos in its assets. After saving, the change is passed on to the ads. Sizes and counts are described in the article Campaigns assets requirements.
Not sure which image it is?
If it is the photo of a specific product in Shopping results or on Meta, it is case 1. If it is an image you uploaded yourself into a Performance Max campaign, it is case 2. If in doubt, ask us and we will point you the right way.
