Set up your product feed (XML)
To advertise your products, we need your product XML feed in Google Shopping format. Here’s a simple guide to find it and upload it into our app.
1. Getting the URL of your product XML feed
A product XML feed is a file that contains your product details (name, price, stock availability, images, etc.).
👉 Upgates automatically generates a Google Shopping XML feed directly in the admin panel.
A typical feed URL looks like this:
Where to find it?
Log in to your Upgates admin.
In the left menu, go to Add-ons → Add-on list.
Find the Tanganica add-on and click Activate.
In the e-shop admin, go to Add-ons → Tanganica.
Here, you’ll find the URL address of your XML feed.
2. Uploading the feed URL to the Tanganica app
Copy the URL of your feed.
Paste it into the designated field in our app.
Confirm.
✅ Done! If the feed is valid and in the correct format, your products will start syncing into the app.
3. What if you get an error?
The feed is not in the correct format (must be XML, not CSV or JSON).
Some required fields are missing or incorrect (e.g., prices or categories).
The feed URL is invalid or not accessible (try opening it in your browser).
Activate the Tanganica Pixel
The Tanganica Pixel lets you track ad performance, get detailed statistics, and unlock advanced features. Here’s how to install it on your Upgates store:
1. Log in to Upgates admin
In the left menu, go to Add-ons → Custom conversion codes.
2. Add the Tanganica Pixel code
In the section Codes placed on all pages, paste the code into the field Code is placed between <head> and </head>:
<!-- Tanganica pixel -->
<script>(function(w,d,s,l,i){w[l]=w[l]||[];
w[l].push({'gtm.start':new Date().getTime(),event:'gtm.js'});
var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],j=d.createElement(s),
dl=l!='dataLayer'?'&l='+l:'';j.async=true;
f.parentNode.insertBefore(j,f);
})(window,document,'script','dataLayer','GTM-TRS5RSN');</script>
<!-- End Tanganica pixel -->
Save your changes.
❗ After saving, test in Tanganica to confirm the Pixel is working correctly.
Troubleshooting if Pixel is not detected:
Check that the code is correctly placed between <head> and </head>.
Make sure you saved all changes.
Verify your e-shop pages are fully functional.
