Set up your product feed (XML)

To advertise your products, we need your product XML feed in Google Shopping format. ExitShop automatically generates this feed in your admin panel. Here’s how to find it and upload it to our app.

1. Get the URL of your product XML feed

A product XML feed is a file that contains information about your products (name, price, stock availability, images, etc.). ExitShop generates this feed automatically in Google Shopping format. It’s available at a specific URL, for example:

Where to find it:

  1. Log in to your ExitShop admin.

  2. In the left menu, go to Stores and select your store.

  3. In the store’s settings menu, click on XML Outputs.

  4. Find the Google Shopping XML feed in the list of available feeds.

2. Upload the feed URL to the Tanganica app

  1. Copy the URL of your feed.

  2. Paste it in the setup guide in the Upload your products step (after you finish the guide, in Settings).

  3. Click Continue.

✅ Done! If the feed is valid and in the correct format, your products will start syncing into the app.

3. What if you get an error?

  • ❌ Wrong format → The feed must be XML, not CSV or JSON.

  • ❌ Invalid structure → Some fields may be missing or incorrectly formatted (e.g., wrong prices or categories).

  • ❌ Invalid URL → Try opening the feed URL in your browser to check if it loads an XML file.

Activate the Tanganica Pixel

The Tanganica Pixel lets you track ad performance, get detailed statistics, and unlock advanced features. Here’s how to install it on your ExitShop store:

1. Log in to ExitShop admin

  • In the left menu, go to Shops and select your store.

  • In the store settings menu, click Scripts.

2. Add the Tanganica Pixel code

  • At the bottom, click Add.

  • Name the script for clarity (e.g., Tanganica Pixel).

  • Under Show on pages, select All pages.

  • Tick Place in Head.

  • Paste the following code into the script field:

<!-- Tanganica pixel -->

<script>(function(w,d,s,l,i){w[l]=w[l]||[];

w[l].push({'gtm.start':new Date().getTime(),event:'gtm.js'});

var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],j=d.createElement(s),

dl=l!='dataLayer'?'&l='+l:'';j.async=true;

f.parentNode.insertBefore(j,f);

})(window,document,'script','dataLayer','GTM-TRS5RSN');</script>

<!-- End Tanganica pixel -->

  • Save changes (bottom right).

❗ After saving, click Run the test at the end of the Add the tracking code step in the setup guide. Your store opens in a new window and you can close it after a few seconds. After you finish the guide, you can also run the test in Settings → Tracking code.

Troubleshooting if Pixel is not detected:

  • Make sure all changes were saved.

  • Check that the code has no typos or invalid characters.

  • Verify your store pages are fully functional.
